I have long been a fan of the Jazzmaster body shape, but not too excited about some of its appointments, such as the overly complicated controls and the usual 25.5" Fender scale length. The Squier Jagmaster is a lot closer to what I was after, so after finishing the mini Telecaster, this turned into my next project. Design Goals

The bass strings on a 25" scale are fuller sounding than some 24-3/4" instruments, which can sometimes sound muddy. The treble strings are not only easier to bend than on a 25-1/2" scale, but also have a warmer, and fuller tone.
